About

Below you can read a little bit about what makes me who I am, and what inspires who I want to be and the life I want to live.

Background

Hometown: Springfield, IL

Growing up in small town Illinois I was always about what was beyond the cornfields. I thrive on change and I love new learning curves. Those who knew me knew that I only had two dreams; to attend Saint Louis University, and to experience everything this big world has to offer. One of those dreams has come true and the other will be constantly evolving. In my time at SLU I studied abroad in Madrid, Spain where I fell deeper in love with other cultures. I saw 11 different countries and made 100 new friends. Now after graduation my goal is to move to Hawaii where I can continue exploring new cultures and learning new ways of life. My goal is to live a happier and healthier life while also growing my career in a whole new place.

Work

My whole life I grew up being told that I had to go to college and get a good job, so thank you Mom and Dad. This led me to Boeing, my dream company. My ideal career would be one where I can work with people, and one where I can help bridge global gaps. My current role at Boeing does not allow for that. In fact, I do the same thing every day all day and that is paying the bills. Don’t get me wrong, I know this is important…but it is NOT my passion. Hopefully the move will allow me to chase my passions more actively through the Travel and Tourism Industry. The decision to leave Boeing will come with a heavy heart when/if I do make it official however, 2019 has taught me to never settle for a career less than what I am passionate and right now Boeing may not be the place for me. More to come on this decision in my blog!

Play

You’re probably starting to learn that my curiosity plays a big role in how I live my life. I follow my heart and I do what makes me happy. My biggest passion is traveling. I have been so few places in this world so far and I can’t wait to see more. In St. Louis where I currently live my friends and I have a favorite bar…Nick’s Pub (Shameless Plug), that we frequent for pool, darts, and cheap beer. I love to paint although I find that I don’t have much time to paint anymore. My body craves the outdoors and being active. It is so hard to be active in St. Louis year round because of the cold, yet another reason I want to move to Someplace warm and geographically diverse. Before you ask, yes I am a Cardinals and Blues fan. Finally, I have a baby and her name is Mora but everybody calls her Boop (Pictured Left). I love to snuggle Boop any chance I get including all night long when she steals my pillow. This really is Boop’s house and I’m just living in it.
